Kevin O’Gorman

kevinKevin was interested in music from an early age.  He was always singing as a child and drumming on anything he could find.  At six years old he started playing the piano, drums at thirteen and guitar at sixteen.

He was always fascinated with his dad’s record player and vinyls and remembers listening to Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and The Beatles.  However, a taste of AC/DC’s Razor Edge album at seven years old, steered his musical taste in a different direction and he grew up listening to hard rock, metal and grunge.  He now finds himself listening to music encompassing a wide variety of genres, and appreciates versatile musicians past and present from Al Green to ZZ Top!

Kevin has completed grade VII on piano certified from the Royal Irish Academy of Music and has a Diploma in Popular Music Practice (drums and percussion) from DrumTech Music School London.  He also studied Media Engineering and has a keen interest in Sound Engineering and the entire recording process.

Kevin plays in a two piece band with his girlfriend Elaine called ‘The Two That Got Away.”  Playing various covers from Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, KT Tunstall, AC/DC, Paul Brady Damien Dempsey, they also play some of their own original pieces.  He is also in a five piece band called ‘The Bonnie and Clydes’ who play a range of covers from Queens of the Stone Age, Tom Petty, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and many others.

Kevin has played an original set at The Dublin Castle, Camden, London, and he features on ‘Tech Records Volume 1’ an album released by the new label Tech Records.   He is currently working on his own debut album, which he hopes to release this year or early next year.
